    • Description

Alta Mora Feudo di Mezzo Etna Rosso 2017 is a single-vineyard Nerello Mascalese from the revered Feudo di Mezzo cru on Mount Etna's north face, crafted by the Cusumano family since 2013. Grapes are sourced from old bush vines rooted deep in black volcanic ash and pumice at 600 metres altitude, yielding tiny, concentrated berries picked by hand for maximum precision. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, followed by extended ageing in large, seasoned oak casks to preserve purity and build savoury complexity without masking the distinctive volcanic minerality. The resulting wine is both structured and ethereal, with smoky dark cherry, blood orange, dried rose petal, and spice layered over taut, stony tannins and brisk acidity. A benchmark expression of Etna terroir, Feudo di Mezzo pairs beautifully with roasted duck, fennel salami, or earthy Sicilian eggplant dishes, and promises further development over five to seven years. Sealed with a Stelvin closure to guarantee freshness and authenticity.
