Description
Altano Tinto 2021 is produced by the Symington family from estate and partner vineyards in the Douro Valley, with a blend led by Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, and Tinta Barroca. The 2021 growing season delivered a mild winter and warm summer, resulting in fruit with balanced ripeness and fresh acidity. Grapes were hand-harvested and vinified in stainless steel tanks with temperature control to preserve primary fruit character and achieve gentle extraction. After fermentation, a portion of the wine was matured briefly in French oak barrels to enhance structure and complexity while retaining a fresh, vibrant profile. Bottled at 13.5% abv, Altano Tinto 2021 displays deep colour, aromas of red and dark berries, floral notes, and a hint of spice, supported by lively acidity and soft tannins. This wine is ready to drink now, ideal for everyday meals, or can be cellared for short-term enjoyment.
