Description
Founded in 2001 by Spain's Raventos family, Bodega Septima combines European tradition with Mendoza's varied terroir, focusing on estate-grown fruit and precision viticulture. The 2022 Tierra Los Chacayes is sourced from the Los Chacayes subregion of the Uco Valley, celebrated for its alluvial soils and marked day-night temperature swings, which contribute to the wine's balance and aromatic complexity. Grapes are hand-harvested, gently sorted, and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, employing careful maceration to extract colour and fine tannins while preserving freshness. Maturation in French oak barrels for several months imparts structure and subtle layers of spice. The finished wine presents lifted aromas of black raspberry, wild herbs and floral notes, with a palate that is supple yet energetic, defined by ripe tannins, vibrant acidity, and a persistent finish tinged with savoury mineral notes. Ideal for pairing with grilled meats or cellaring for a few years.
