      Ramos Pinto Porto Tawny NV is a fortified wine from Portugal's Douro Valley, produced by the historic Ramos Pinto estate, established in 1880. The estate is renowned for its commitment to quality and innovation in winemaking. This tawny port is crafted from a blend of indigenous Portuguese grape varieties, including Tinta Roriz and Tinto Cao, selected for their complementary characteristics that balance fruitiness, acidity, and structure.

      The production process involves traditional methods, with fermentation under controlled temperatures and aging in 650-liter oak casks. This aging process imparts the wine with its characteristic amber colour and complex flavours. The wine is ready to drink upon release, showcasing a harmonious balance between fruitiness and the smoothness acquired from wood aging.

      On the nose, Ramos Pinto Porto Tawny NV offers aromas of dried fruits and nuts, complemented by subtle hints of vanilla and spices. The palate is smooth and warm, with flavours of ripe fruit and a delicate, balanced finish.

      This tawny port pairs well with a variety of dishes, including cheeses, nuts, and desserts that are not overly sweet. It is best served slightly chilled, between 16°C and 18°C, and should be stored upright in a cool, dry, and dark place to maintain its quality.
