      Chateau d'Yquem, established in 1593, is the crown jewel of Sauternes and the only estate to hold the prestigious Premier Cru Supérieur classification in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification. Renowned for its meticulous winemaking process, which includes hand-harvesting grape by grape to ensure perfect botrytisation (noble rot), the estate consistently produces wines of exceptional quality and longevity. The 1985 vintage reflects a warm growing season, yielding a wine of remarkable depth, featuring notes of honey, apricot, and spices with a vibrant acidity that ensures decades of aging potential.

      Tasting policy does not apply to auction items and wines aged over 20 years.
