Description
Founded in 1812 in Tours-sur-Marne, Laurent-Perrier is a historic Champagne house whose style is set by a Chardonnay-led approach that favours finesse and clarity, with fruit drawn from Grand and Premier Cru sources across Champagne. La Cuvee is the house non-vintage brut and is built on the pure cuvee fraction taken after gentle pressing. Base wines ferment in temperature-controlled stainless steel to preserve fruit detail; malolactic is only partial to retain tension, and the final assemblage draws on a deep reserve wine library to maintain the signature profile. The wine is then aged extensively on lees before a restrained dosage. In the glass it shows a fine, persistent mousse with crisp citrus and orchard fruit over subtle brioche, the palate bright and neatly framed by fresh acidity. A light saline note carries the long, dry finish, giving a clean, aperitif-ready style that reflects the house aim for precision and balance in a Chardonnay-forward blend.
