"Dark-fruited, with black cherries, some tobacco, dark chocolate, liquorice and cool fireplace on the nose; soft and round on the attack, building a lot of pressure on the mid-palate, yet less powerful than in other years, grippy, ripe limestone tannins provide support, the acidity is perfectly balanced and carries the wine into an almost never-ending finish.
