    • Description

Dow's, founded in 1798 and now under the Symington family, produces Fine Ruby Port using fruit from estate vineyards and trusted Douro partners. Grapes are hand-harvested, with fermentation taking place in stainless steel and granite lagares to emphasise freshness and extract vibrant fruit character. The young wines are aged for up to three years in large oak vats at Dow's cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia, retaining a youthful profile and bright colour. Blending from multiple recent vintages ensures consistency of style and balance. The resulting port shows flavours of ripe red berries, plum and subtle spice, with moderate sweetness, lively acidity and soft tannins. Bottled at 19% abv with a driven cork, Dow's Fine Ruby Port is intended for immediate enjoyment and can be served slightly chilled or at room temperature, making it a versatile match for chocolate desserts or hard cheeses.
