The Grosjean family has been in the Aosta Valley since the 1700s, and their small, commercial wine production started in the 1960s.

The wine is fermented with indigenous yeasts and undergoes carbonic maceration, with aging in stainless steel or a combination of large clay amphora and older oak barrels.

Grosjean's Gamay is known for being bright, juicy, and aromatic, with red fruit flavors, floral notes, and a hint of licorice.

Grosjean is a winery in the Aosta Valley, Italy, known for its Gamay wine. Their Gamay is grown at high altitudes (700-850 meters) on steep slopes, resulting in a wine with bright, aromatic, and expressive qualities. It features juicy red berry fruit, a hint of mountain herbs, and lively acidity. Grosjean's Gamay is typically vinified in stainless steel to preserve freshness, and it's often described as a mountain-grown Gamay with tension and detail.
