    • Description

The Louis Roederer Carte Blanche Demi-Sec NV is the sweetened sibling of Roederer's signature Carte Blanche line, crafted in a style that evokes 19th-century Champagne. It is a non-vintage blend of the three classic varietals (Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier) matured for 3 to 4 years before disgorgement, and then rested for about six months (degorgement lag). The house describes it as “soft and creamy” yet vibrant in expression, with flavours and aromas of cooked or baked fruit, baked apple, white flowers, almond and frangipane, delivered in a rounder, more generous style than their brut bottlings. It is bottled at 12% ABV, and in its demographic positioning is meant to accompany desserts, fruit and creamy preparations. The higher sugar dosage (demi-sec) gives it an off-dry richness balanced by freshness from the extended lees aging and underpinning acidity.
