    • Description

The Palliser Pencarrow Pinot Gris 2024 is a vibrant and textural expression of Martinborough Pinot Gris, crafted for freshness, aromatic clarity and immediate appeal. Fruit from estate vineyards was harvested at optimal ripeness and cool-fermented in stainless steel to retain purity, with a short period on lees adding subtle weight and texture. Bottled under screwcap at 14% ABV, the wine opens with bright aromas of ripe pear, red apple and white nectarine, lifted by hints of white pepper spice and a fine mineral edge. The palate is dry and finely balanced, combining juicy orchard fruit flavours with a crisp acid line that delivers energy and length. A gentle touch of sweetness adds contrast and roundness without compromising the wine's clean, refreshing style. Approachable on release yet structured to evolve complexity over the next three years, this Pinot Gris pairs well with seafood, creamy poultry dishes or lightly spiced Asian cuisine.
