    • Description

Paritua Syrah is grown on the warm, gravelly soils of the Bridge Pa Triangle in Hawke's Bay, where maritime breezes and stony soils echo the conditions of the Northern Rhone. Hand-harvested fruit underwent partial destemming and whole-berry fermentation with daily plunging, then matured in predominantly French oak to soften the wine's tannic edge. The 2024 release, at 13% ABV, is vibrant and expressive, showing dark cherry, blackberry, violet and cracked pepper on the nose, with clove, savoury cured meat and subtle oak beneath. The palate is taut and energetic, with concentrated fruit, firm structure and a savoury, peppery finish. This wine is built for cellaring, but equally suited to grilled lamb or charcuterie now.
