Description
The Misha's Vineyard The Soloist Pinot Rose 2024 is a finely balanced, dry rose from Central Otago's Bendigo subregion, crafted from 100% Pinot Noir grown on free-draining schist soils. Fruit was hand-harvested at optimal ripeness, gently whole-bunch pressed and fermented cool in stainless steel to capture purity and freshness, with a small portion (around 3%) matured in seasoned oak to build subtle texture. Bottled at 13.5% ABV with 2 g/L residual sugar, the wine shows a pale salmon hue and a lifted, perfumed bouquet of rose petal, wild strawberry, pomegranate and red cherry, complemented by hints of savoury spice and nougat. The palate is crisp, bright and finely structured, delivering layers of red berry fruit balanced by fresh acidity and silky fruit tannins. A satin-like texture leads to a clean, dry finish with lingering floral and spice notes. Elegant and refreshing yet textural and complex, The Soloist is best enjoyed in its youth but will hold its vibrancy for several years.
