    • Description

The Paper Nautilus Sauvignon Blanc 2023 marks a bold, textured chapter for Marlborough Sauvignon, blending freshness with savory weight. Juice was fermented on solids in a large French oak cuve (non-Saccharomyces yeast) and aged for seven months on lees to build structure and nuance. The wine opens with subtle aromas of citrus peel, wet stone and hazelnut, then deepens toward feijoa, white strawberries and kiwi fruit with a touch of cassis. Despite its oak influence, the fruit remains expressive and elegant. On the palate it is dry and concentrated, with citrus and tropical fruit layers underscored by saline minerality, gentle oak spice and a creamy midpalate. A taut acidity threads through, giving lift and precision to a long, savory, flinty finish.
