Description
Since 1930, Bodega Pichilemu has produced expressive wines from estate vineyards in Chile's Colchagua Valley, guided by generations of family tradition and a focus on regional character. The 2023 Panul Carmenere is sourced from hand-picked grapes grown in well-drained, alluvial soils, benefiting from Colchagua's warm climate and coastal breezes. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with a gentle extraction to highlight Carmenere's signature plush fruit and spice. The wine is matured for several months in a mix of French and American oak barrels to enhance texture and complexity. In the glass, this Carmenere shows aromas of black plum, capsicum and subtle pepper, with a palate that is soft, medium-bodied and rounded, framed by supple tannins and fresh acidity, offering immediate enjoyment and versatility with grilled or spiced dishes.
