    • Description

Since 1930, Bodega Pichilemu has drawn on Colchagua Valley's diverse terroir and family know-how to craft varietal-driven wines with regional character. The 2022 Reserve Special Carmenere is produced from estate-grown grapes harvested at peak maturity, then fermented in stainless steel tanks with gentle extraction to build body while retaining the variety's hallmark spice. The wine matures in a selection of French and American oak barrels for added depth, integration, and subtle oak character. In the glass, this Carmenere reveals ripe blackberry, black pepper and green herb aromas, while the palate is plush, medium to full-bodied, with soft tannins and a rounded, lingering finish. This reserve bottling is ready to drink but has the structure for casual cellaring, offering a classic take on Chile's flagship grape.
