    • Description

Champagne André Clouet is a grower‑producer based in the Grand Cru village of Bouzy with family roots dating back to the court scribes of King Louis XV. Today Jean‑François Clouet farms seventeen hectares of Pinot Noir on south-facing chalk and clay slopes in Bouzy and Ambonnay and vinifies by plot in small vats. The Grande Réserve Brut NV is made entirely from Pinot Noir with a significant proportion of reserve wine that has been aged in magnum under cork to preserve freshness. Primary fermentation is carried out in a combination of stainless steel and old oak barrels and malolactic conversion is encouraged. After blending, the wine spends at least three years on lees in bottle before disgorgement with a low Brut dosage. At 12% alcohol it offers a deep golden hue, vigorous mousse and aromas of red apple, wild strawberry, brioche and roasted nuts. The palate is rich yet poised with creamy mid‑palate and a chalky mineral backbone. Enjoy as a gastronomic Champagne now or cellar up to seven years.
