    • Description

"For 116 years this wine has waited patiently in its case before taking its first breath, when it shall reveal the wealth of aromas composed during its many years hidden away in the cellars of Château d’Yquem. Having reached such a venerable age, this wine has become an object of meditation, an ancient book whose pages are turned with the greatest care, taking the time to read each word, admire each motif and imagine what it went through before it landed in our hands. This is how the 1909 vintage reveals itself to the taster, through surprisingly fresh and minty notes. A lively start which unveils aromas of dates and dried figs mingled with currants and dried apricots, bestowing an intense and rich character. The same freshness comes to the fore on the palate, enhanced by notes of cedar and incense, underpinned by lovely and elegant bitter aromas on the finish. This wine continues to shine, radiating the pure and mesmerising light of Yquem.

By immersing you in the universe of this great wine, we are offering a unique and memorable experience which perfectly reflects this timeless vintage. You and three people of your choice will be invited to take part in a private tour of the estate, followed by an exquisite lunch at the château specially designed to highlight food and wine pairings inspired by Château d’Yquem wines. In this extraordinary setting, every moment is crafted to awaken the senses and celebrate the art of living that is unique to Yquem. We will be delighted to personalise your cherished wine case at your request." - Chateau D'Yquem
