    • Description

Collaboration Wines is a boutique Hawke's Bay estate founded by winemaker Julianne Brooks, producing small-lot wines that reflect site, season and careful craftsmanship. The Aurulent Chardonnay draws on premium fruit from two distinguished vineyards, Kokako and Ascot, to deliver a classic Hawke's Bay style.

In 2023, Chardonnay was hand-picked and whole-bunch pressed, then fermented with indigenous yeasts for added complexity. Full malolactic fermentation completed naturally, and the wine matured for eight months in French oak barrels, just over a quarter new, with regular lees stirring to enhance texture and flavour integration.

The finished wine is expressive yet finely balanced, showing ripe nectarine and citrus alongside hazelnut, vanilla and subtle oak spice. Creamy in texture with bright acidity and a lingering finish, it is a refined Chardonnay that showcases both vineyard character and winemaking detail.
