    • Description

Fattoria La Valentina Spelt Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC 2020 is a selection of older vine fruit from the estate's hillside vineyards in Spoltore, founded in 1990. A benchmark for Montepulciano in the region, Spelt is fermented in stainless steel with native yeasts before ageing for 12 months in large Slavonian oak casks and barriques. This extended maturation adds complexity and structure to the wine's ripe dark cherry, blackberry and wild herb profile. Firm tannins and fresh acidity provide balance, while subtle oak spice and earthy depth make this suitable for cellaring or pairing with rich Italian cuisine.
