Description
Graham's, established in 1820 and owned by the Symington family, produces its 40 Year Old Tawny Port from estate vineyards in the Douro Valley, particularly Quinta dos Malvedos. Grapes are hand-harvested, with initial fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by transfer to seasoned oak casks for long-term oxidative ageing at Graham's cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia. Over four decades, a selection of the finest casks is blended to achieve the signature complexity and elegance of the house style. The resulting port exhibits a deep amber hue, with pronounced aromas of dried fruits, walnuts, and caramel, alongside notes of orange zest and spice. The palate is smooth, concentrated and lingering, balanced by fresh acidity. Bottled at 20% abv under natural cork, Graham's 40 Year Old Tawny is ready to enjoy upon release, whether served as a chilled digestif, with desserts, or alongside aged cheeses. Decanting is not required.
