This premium Chardonnay delivers a harmonious balance of ripe fruit intensity, refined texture, and complex savory layers that exemplify Marlborough’s evolving reputation beyond its famous Sauvignon Blanc.

On the nose, the wine reveals a vibrant medley of lively citrus fragrances, elegantly intertwined with rich notes of crème anglaise and praline. These are seamlessly infused with a subtle flinty minerality, adding depth and intrigue to the aromatic profile. This intricate bouquet reflects the careful attention to detail and the unique soil composition found in the region.

Its weight and complexity make it an excellent candidate for aging, allowing the texture and flavors to evolve over time while maintaining freshness and precision.

Proudly originating from Marlborough, a region celebrated for its alluvial soils and cool climate, this vintage benefits from ideal growing conditions that enhance the grape's natural acidity and flavor concentration. The 2023 vintage continues the tradition of producing elegant Chardonnays with bright fruit character and a distinct mineral backbone.

Critic Scores

Made from fruit grown in the Wairau Plains and the Omaka Valley, this is supremely youthful with its initial note of lemon- and smoke-bathed sweetcorn kernel. Supple smokiness speaks of the oak ageing, while the palate plunges deep into immense juiciness, again recalling that tropical edge of pineapple juiciness. All is here, with such fill, such brightness. This is both super-smooth and utterly lip-smacking. Exquisite tension for now is bedded softly in creamy oak.

A delicious wine with a frame of spice and fruit purity, lemon and apple with a white stone fruit quality. The highlight for me is the wild flowers and heirloom fruit suggestions framed by a lees and wood flavours. Almost full-bodied with a lactic leesy quality, plenty of complexity and lots of intrigue. Delicious, fresh and perfect on its own or with food. Best drinking from day of purchase through 2031+.

Marked by funky reduction which gives crushed rock and struck match, this complex wine unfurls with time in the glass. The palate has a green apple and lemon profile which expands to fill the mouth with creamy almond and cashew butter; all wrapped around waxy citrus peel while remaining crisp and zingy right to the grainy finish. A wine of layers and evolution which has a bit of everything in a mid-weight package. Not a powerhouse but it will be very versatile with food.

Bold and unapologetically full-bodied Marlborough Chardonnay bursting with bright acidity and a long, commanding finish. The nose leans reductive—think smoky flint—which may divide opinion, but the palate delivers with intense citrusy aromas of lemon zest and ripe grapefruit followed by a full body, creamy texture, edge and energy.
