    • Description

The 2023 Mohawk Hill Pinot Noir is drawn from a single vineyard planted in 2008 at Lowburn, Central Otago. Mt Maude’s focus on site expression defines this flagship bottling. Fruit was hand picked, fermented with 33 percent whole bunches, and macerated for 26 days before maturation in French oak barriques. Bottled at 14.0 percent ABV under screwcap, the wine displays deep ruby colour and aromas of red cherry, violet, and spice. The palate is pure and focused, offering fine tannins, bright acidity, and length. A seamless balance of fruit, structure, and mineral detail positions this as a benchmark single-vineyard Pinot Noir for the estate.
