    • Description

Organised Chaos is a Hawke's Bay producer focused on small-batch wines that combine regional character with precision winemaking. The Mangatahi Terraces, with their elevated river gravels and cooler climate, provide an ideal site for Albarino, giving the variety freshness and saline detail.

In 2024, fruit from Mangatahi was given a short maceration before whole-bunch pressing. Fermentation at cool temperatures preserved aromatic lift, and the wine was then aged on lees with gentle batonnage for five months to build texture and palate weight.

The finished wine is bright and expressive, showing lemon zest, white peach and subtle sea-spray salinity. The palate is lively and finely balanced, combining crisp acidity with a gently creamy mouthfeel, leading to a long, refreshing finish. A distinctive New Zealand Albarino with both energy and finesse.
