    • Description

La Rocca is Pieropan's flagship Soave, sourced from a west-facing, limestone-rich vineyard beneath Soave Castle, first vinified as a single site in 1978. The 2022 vintage is 100% Garganega, hand-harvested at full ripeness, then fermented and aged in large oak barrels for one year - a stark contrast to the stainless steel method used in other cuvées. This barrel maturation lends the wine a deep golden hue and layered complexity, with notes of ripe peach, baked apple, toasted almond and spice, underpinned by soft acidity and a long, savoury finish. Structured and cellarable, it redefines what Soave can be.
