    • Description

Schubert Wines, established in Martinborough by Kai Schubert and Marion Deimling, is known for organic viticulture and an Old World approach to New Zealand classics. The Estate range represents a step up in depth and complexity from the more fruit-driven Selection tier.

For the 2023 Sauvignon Blanc, fruit was destemmed and given a brief period of skin contact before pressing. Fermentation occurred primarily in stainless steel, with a portion vinified in French oak barriques to add texture and subtle savoury dimension.

The finished wine balances varietal precision with layered complexity, offering grapefruit and melon alongside gentle nutty notes. A flinty mineral line and crisp acidity frame the palate, delivering freshness with refined structure.
