Founded in 1984 by Rita Tua and Virgilio Bisti in the medieval town of Suvereto in Tuscany’s Northern Maremma, the estate began with just two hectares of vines and has grown into one of Italy’s most respected producers, deeply connected to its land and origins.
The vineyards are set between the Tyrrhenian Sea and the metalliferous hills of the Val di Cornia, on soils rich in clay, stones, and trace minerals such as iron and zinc that give a distinct expression of place.
From the beginning, Tua Rita has followed a philosophy centred on the land, practising low yields, careful vineyard management, and minimal intervention in the cellar to preserve the authenticity of its terroir.
