The estate is based at Gibbston in Central Otago, and this is their flagship Pinot Noir.

The intense perfume flows onto the palate with more baking spices, dried florals, cedar, and dark red fruit.

The extremely small harvest from this site makes the wine a real treasure!

    • Description

A deep ruby-red color with moderate transparency, slightly lighter at the edges. The nose is gently full and enticing, offering complex aromas of forest floor, crushed herbs, dried hibiscus, along with delicate spice, cherry, and plum. Medium-bodied and silky on the palate, it begins with scents of cherry and young plum interwoven with crushed herbs, hibiscus, liquorice, forest floor, and spice. The mouthfeel is supple and silky, with fine powdery tannins that delicately veil the palate. Lacy and captivating acidity carries the experience to a very long and exquisite finish. This wine is harmonious, revealing depth and complexity through its delicate aromas, reminiscent of Gibbston. It pairs beautifully with pigeon and truffle and has the potential to age gracefully for the next 12+ years.
