The Zonin family's Chianti comes from vineyards in the rolling hills of Tuscany, where Sangiovese dominates.

Traditional fermentation on skins followed by maturation in large Slavonian oak casks yields a savoury, earthy style.

Bottled under cork, the wine is dry with cherry fruit, supple tannins and lively acidity.

    • Description

Produced in the rolling hills of Tuscany, Zonin's Classici Chianti DOC is an authentic expression of Sangiovese, reflecting the Zonin family's respect for regional tradition and terroir. Sourced from estate and partner vineyards on limestone and clay soils, the grapes are harvested by hand, fermented in stainless steel with skin contact, and matured in large Slavonian oak casks to gently soften tannins and add complexity without masking fruit. Bottled young under cork to preserve freshness, this Chianti offers aromas of cherry, violet, Tuscan herbs and a subtle earthy undertone. The palate is medium-bodied and elegant, with bright acidity, soft tannins, and flavours of red berry, sour cherry, and a hint of spice. The wine's lively structure and savoury finish make it ideal for pairing with classic Italian dishes such as pizza Margherita, Bolognese pasta, or roasted poultry, and provide a benchmark for approachable, food-friendly Tuscan reds.
