A lush vibrant nose with an abundance of marmalade and tropical fruit aromas with peach, nectarine, citrus blossom & dill. Warm & intriguing aromas of toasted brioche with shades of roasted nuts comes from barrel fermentation & maturation, meshing well with the opulent fruit aromas. Mouth watering and long with underlying minerality and freshness. A well balanced and elegant wine. Named after an ex colleague of Fiona suggested that what we were about to do amounted to a foolish move, a Folly by any other name" Aitken's Folly is a family-run winery based in Wanaka, focused on creating bright, fruit-forward wines representative of the unique terroir. 100% clone 548, one of the great Corton Charlemagne clones and the only wine in NZ to be made purely from it
