The pack includes the flagship Ata Rangi Pinot Noir 2021, Kotinga Pinot Noir 2021, Masters Pinot Noir 2021, and McCrone Pinot Noir 2019. The 2021 vintage was marked by frosty springs and variable summer temperatures, yielding small, concentrated berries and vibrant acidity; the McCrone 2019 acts as an aged anchor to balance that youth. The intention is to contrast terroir and vintage influence across the pack. Each wine is vinified and matured in French oak (varying new oak percentages per block), with care in whole-bunch inclusion and extended aging to retain finesse and structure. Drink the 2019 McCrone now through the mid-2030s; the 2021 single vineyards will benefit from cellaring 6-12 years to fully evolve their aromatics and mid-palate complexity.
