    • Description

The Testify label is Decibel's pinnacle, showcasing the best vineyard parcels and winemaking finesse. The Hawke's Bay Chardonnay 2022 is hand-picked from selected river-terrace sites, whole-bunch pressed and fermented in French oak barrels (with a portion new), employing indigenous yeasts for complexity. Full malolactic fermentation and regular bâtonnage over an extended lees contact period build texture and richness. Bottled under cork at 13.5% ABV, the wine is pale gold with expressive aromas of ripe peach, grilled citrus, toasted hazelnut, flint and a hint of smoke. The palate is medium-full, creamy and layered, balanced by vibrant acidity and a lingering mineral core. This Chardonnay is an outstanding match for roast chicken, seafood in beurre blanc, or truffled pasta, and is designed for graceful evolution in the cellar.
