Description
The Langmeil Stelle Nere Sparkling Shiraz NV is a classic Barossa expression of one of Australia's most distinctive wine styles. Crafted from premium Shiraz parcels blended with small portions of reserve wine, it undergoes secondary fermentation in bottle using the traditional method and spends around 24 months on lees to build texture and complexity. Before release, a dosage of Langmeil’s own fortified Shiraz is added, enhancing depth and richness while retaining balance. Bottled at 14.5% ABV, it pours a deep crimson with a fine, persistent mousse and bright ruby rim. Aromas of ripe blackberry, plum and dark cherry are layered with hints of mocha, vanilla and subtle spice. The palate is rich and generous yet finely structured, combining juicy dark fruit with savoury undertones, supple tannins and creamy texture from extended lees contact. A touch of residual sweetness balances the natural intensity, leading to a long, velvety finish. This is a benchmark sparkling Shiraz, equally suited to festive occasions or pairing with roast meats and mature cheeses.
