Description
The Nautilus Vintage Rose 2021 is a refined traditional method sparkling wine crafted entirely from Pinot Noir grown in Marlborough. Fruit was hand-harvested at optimal ripeness and vinified using the classical methode traditionnelle, with secondary fermentation in bottle and extended maturation on lees to build complexity, texture and a fine mousse. The wine pours a pale salmon hue with a persistent bead and delicate effervescence. Aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry and white peach are lifted by floral tones of rose petal and subtle spice, underpinned by brioche and pastry notes from lees ageing. The palate is vibrant and balanced, combining red berry and citrus flavours with creamy texture and bright acidity, finishing long, dry and precise. Bottled at 12.0% ABV with 7.0 g/L total acidity and 7.0 g/L residual sugar, this elegant sparkling rose is an excellent aperitif and pairs beautifully with tuna sashimi, smoked salmon or soft cheeses.
