Description
Crafted from estate-grown Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, Paritua Red reflects the gravelly warmth of Hawke's Bay and the estate's commitment to sustainable viticulture. Each variety was harvested at full ripeness in 2021, then fermented separately before blending. Eighteen months in French oak barriques, a third new, integrated the wine's fruit and tannin. The result is a richly aromatic blend showing roasted plum, blackberry, dark cherry and a thread of olive and dried herb. On the palate, it is vibrant, medium-full bodied, with balanced acidity, supple tannins and a long, dry finish. Bottled at 14% ABV under cork, this Bordeaux-inspired blend is structured for immediate pleasure or cellaring up to seven years.
