      Rock Ferry, founded by Tom Hutchison and Fiona Fenwick, is an organic Marlborough estate dedicated to wines that speak clearly of site and variety. The Brookby Springs vineyard in the Southern Valleys provides Pinot Noir of concentration and fine structure.

      In 2021, fruit from Brookby Springs was destemmed and fermented in small vats, with gentle cap management to preserve fragrance and finesse. Following fermentation, the wine was transferred to a mix of French oak barriques and puncheons, around 25% new, for more than twelve months of ageing. This approach framed the fruit purity with subtle oak complexity and refined tannins.

      The finished wine is fragrant and supple, showing cherry and raspberry layered with hints of nutty oak and spice. The palate is medium-bodied and finely structured, its bright fruit supported by fresh acidity and elegant tannins, leading to a persistent, balanced finish.
