Description
Schubert Wines, founded in Martinborough by Kai Schubert and Marion Deimling, is known for organic viticulture and a European-inspired winemaking philosophy. Alongside their renowned Pinot Noirs, the estate produces distinctive aromatic whites, including this late-harvest Muller-Thurgau.
For the 2023 vintage, grapes were harvested late to capture full ripeness and concentration. The fruit was whole-bunch pressed and fermented cool in stainless steel, with fermentation arrested at 9.5% ABV to retain natural sweetness and freshness.
The finished wine is lusciously sweet yet balanced, showing aromas of ripe peach, caramelised pear and honey. Bright acidity underpins the palate, keeping richness in check and delivering a fresh, elegant finish. A finely crafted dessert wine that highlights the versatility of Müller-Thurgau in Martinborough.
