    • Description

Schubert Wines, founded by Kai Schubert and Marion Deimling, is a Martinborough-based estate recognised for its organic vineyards and Burgundian approach to Pinot Noir. The Selection range is made from younger vines, delivering a more approachable yet finely crafted expression of the variety.

In 2022, hand-picked Pinot Noir was destemmed and fermented in small vats with gentle plunging to preserve fragrance and delicate structure. After pressing, the wine matured for around twelve months in French oak barriques, with a modest portion of new oak to add subtle spice and texture.

The finished wine is bright and supple, offering aromas of red cherry and raspberry with hints of earthy spice. The palate is elegant and finely balanced, framed by soft tannins and fresh acidity, making it an accessible yet refined Martinborough Pinot Noir.
