Description
From the elevated Warramate vineyard, part of the iconic Yarra Yering estate, the 2021 Warramate Cabernet Blend is a fine expression of cool-climate Bordeaux varieties in the Yarra Valley. A classic mix of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, and 10% Malbec, this wine brings structure, fragrance, and elegance in equal measure.
Hand-harvested and fermented in small open tanks, the wine was gently plunged and left on skins to extract fine tannins and depth. Maturation for fifteen months in seasoned French barriques has polished the edges, highlighting bright dark fruit and adding subtle savoury spice.
Black mulberry, blueberry, and cassis leap from the glass, supported by hints of cedar, tobacco leaf, and graphite. The palate is medium-bodied and beautifully balanced - ripe fruit framed by silky tannins and fresh acidity, finishing long and refined.
Enjoy now with roasted lamb or chargrilled vegetables, or cellar confidently for up to ten years. A benchmark Yarra Valley Cabernet blend that captures both immediate charm and long-term potential.
